'Judgement'

The judgement card when pulled upright , represents self-evaluation, awakening, renewal, purpose, reflection, reckoning.

I wanted to keep this, as its name is, fairly simple and self explanatory. The only main contradiction to the original card I’ve drawn is the fact that I’ve painted a woman as the juror. Traditionally judgement is ruled by Pluto the ruler of the underworld so because of this, this card can often be connected to the death card. As well as the fact that their symbolisms are quite similar both echoing the idea that everything comes to an end and that a new beginning is coming. I’ve included symbolism by painting the scales for her earrings and a looking glass magnifying her eye to signify her taking a closer look.
