Refractions of a once distant dream –

This piece has a similar narrative to ‘It’s a Long way to Tomorrow’ in a sense that you see dreams vs reality ‘Theres always a light at the end of the tunnel’. I have painted a long and hollow vacuous room, which at the end has a window with a view to a whole other world of beauty and possibilities. Though to reach the other side you have to overcome the obstacles and temptations that come with life. I use a lot of symbolism in this piece; a snake to represent temptations, stairs to represent obstacles and a zebra as it's supposed to symbolise freedom and balance.
