'The Little Star' -

The Star tarot card traditionally follows some of the heaviest and most transformative cards in the deck, such as The Tower and Death cards. it tends to appear after having endured/overcome a number of challenges and hurdles but it’s typically a sign that brighter things are ahead. In my interpretation, I chose to depict The Star as a child, embodying the purity, resilience, and boundless potential that come with rebirth. A child often represents innocence and unfiltered hope—a beacon of light in times of darkness. This vision of The Star holds even deeper significance as a Black star. In the vast expanse of the universe, a black star must burn a thousand times brighter to be seen, Which as beautiful as that can be when achieved the challenge/ true gift exists within knowing how to burn as bright without burning out. This bittersweet reality mirrors the fate of so many Black stars before us—luminaries who have illuminated the world but at great personal cost.
